We've compiled a list of tips that are essential to surviving any outdoor concert or festival.

PLAN, PLAN, PLAN

Plan the acts you want to see, there are so many great acts at festivals nowadays and there is no way to see them all, so it's best to plan the acts you want to see.

MONEY, MONEY, MONEY

(starts singing ABBA)

Cash, Cash, Cash, bringing your card is a bad idea (trust me) more money to spend and possibly lose.

FASHUN

There will be a full blog post on festival fashion (coming soon!!) but the two most important tips we can think of are to wear comfortable shoes and to have fun with fashion.

STAY safe

There are two key types of protection when it comes to festivals

1. Protection for the sun. Be sure to wear sun cream even if it's not sunny( wind burns a thing), and red skin from sun burn is not the most attractive look.

2. Contraceptive protection. Not many people go to festivals with the intention of having sex, but it is better to be safe than sorry, make sure you have some form of protection with in case.

ESSENTIALS
There are certain things that you cannot survive a festival without. Having these and not having these can be the difference in a life or death situation. Baby wipes, dry shampoo, tissues, plasters are some essential products that everyone should bring to a festival. Another essential without a doubt is a portable charger, gotta keep them phones charged to take gorge pics :)

GET YOURSELF A BUM BAG

No, seriously, get yourself a bum bag!

Bum bags are awesome at festivals, and here’s why:

1. It means you can avoid carrying things.

2. It’s harder for you to be pick- pocketed. You’ll know your items are safe because they’re tied to your waist.

3. It’s always attached to you. Never again will you have to trust a friend to watch your precious items.

PICK A SPOT

Music festivals are crowded with tens of thousands of colourfully dressed ravers. Making it practically impossible to locate your friends (who probably blend into the crowd), meaning if you get lost or split up from your friend, well, you’ll be in a bit of a pickle. The solution? As soon as you arrive at the grounds of the festival, pick a spot that is easy to remember . If you go missing or there’s an emergency situation, head to the spot and wait for your friends to come bail you out.

tips For camping

NO NEED TO DUPLICATE THE TOILETRIES

If you’re camping with friends, there’s no need for everyone to pack individual tubes of toothpaste. To ensure you all pack as light as possible, decide (as a group) what essentials are needed. Then just divide responsibilities and the cost.

BAG THE LIQUIDS TO AVOID MAJOR SHAMPOO EXPLOSION

Any liquid-like substances (toothpaste, shower gel, hand sanitiser, sun tan lotion, etc.) should be stored in a plastic food/sandwich bag to avoid spillage in your backpack.

We all know what happened to Ross, right?
